Bus to Airport

I got in to the hotel so late and had to wake up so early, and if you know me, I don't do early. But I
found the bus stop I was supposed to get off at the night before and took the bus to the airport. The double-decker had an ad for the Book of Mormon on it with one of my favorite Broadway actors (JJ Niemann) on it so I obviously had to take a picture.
Upon arrival to the airport, all I could think about was getting a Diet Coke. One of the only places to find one, I swear in the entirety of Europe, was the vending machine in the airport. Everything was Coke Zero instead and I was dying for a Diet. I made my way to the main terminal area, dropped off my suitcase and went to another Cami classic, Pret a Manger. While I was in there, I saw something hilarious. It was literally two hard boiled eggs in a cup with a handful of raw spinach. There is a running gag in my friend group about hard boiled eggs so I took a picture and sent it to them, but it was such a

ridiculous thing to see. I got myself a sandwich and headed to my gate when I came across a sushi restaurant that was open at 8am. I had some great Asian food, but something about airport sushi at 8am just hit different. It was conveyor belt style and I was having the time of my life.
After the best airport sushi I've ever had, I wandered around the shops in the terminal and waited for boarding. When I got on, I had the aisle seat in a set of 4 at the middle of the plane and a couple had the two seats next to me. Once the plane had fully boarded, we realized that we had a seat in between me and a couple, so they moved over a seat and I got to have an open seat next to me.
I tend to sleep like a baby on planes so I slept for most of the way, sending pictures of my friends to them while in the air (pictures of the map on the screen in the back of the seat). I flew into Houston, then hopped on to another flight to Orlando. It was during this flight when I was in line for the bathroom with a woman and her young baby behind me. I finished up in the bathroom before the other one opened so the woman asked me to hold her baby while she went. When I tell you that was the best three minutes of the flight, it's no lie. The baby was so cute and so well behaved, he attempted to chew on my shoulder with a mouth full of gums and was so smiley the entire time. When the mom came out, she thanked me profusely and I said that it was really no problem. You gotta do what you gotta do.
While I was so grateful and so incredibly lucky to go on this solo trip, I was glad to be home with my family and my pets and I hope to be able to do at least one solo trip per year! So stay close while I travel to places old and new and keep the updates going along the way (or maybe almost two years later ;))
